Every client has a real “stake” in Texas –
its business, its politics, its people, its culture

Texas business and politics are wild, free and independent . . .

Former member of the Texas House of Representatives, Phil Cates, knew this when he followed his vision for his fledgling company in 1996. Texas Stakeholders would lobby the Texas Legislature and Texas state agencies on behalf of businesses and trade associations, but he also knew there were plenty of other lobbyists doing and saying the same things.

True grit action and balanced experience are necessary on many different levels . . .

Texas Stakeholders will build the most powerful strategies for the strongest case possible. Phil Cates set out to and succeeded in creating an organization that met needs as well as bringing additional services to clients seeking professional, substantive representation within the great state government of Texas. He accomplished this by bringing together a team of professionals, from varied backgrounds and industries, that are committed individually and together to providing the highest level of service in the legislative arena. These minds encompass the utmost expertise in advocacy, public policy, strategic planning, government relations, public relations and marketing.

A real working relationship promotes success with distinction . . .

Although services usually center on state government, traditionally every client has very different requirements and needed solutions. By bringing together a committed group of professionals from varied backgrounds and industries, Texas Stakeholders tailors lobby teams that provide each client with a unique approach to its dynamic public policy needs. Texas Stakeholders believes in having a real relationship with clients, in order to accomplish the tasks at hand.
